Bike Ride!

So, on Saturday I went on my first "real" bike ride in many years--- We started in Boulder and went to Niwot, CO and then back (total 18 miles approximately). Man oh man, it was interesting. What I learned on this trip:

  1. Wear more layers than you think you need--you'll probably use them all
  2. Buy some kind of wind-proof gloves for next time--the wind just cuts right through traditional gloves
  3. New sunglasses for biking are in order---I looked ridiculous wearing mine
I think it was definitely a good experience, but I am disappointed that all those spin classes I took didn't prepare me very well for the ride. Oh well.

Just a note, I had 5 layers on--so I look a bit puffy--and no, it's not fat, but the fabric, duh (if you don't believe me look at my thin legs)

therapy

I had an amazing therapy session last night---and I have no problem admitting I'm in therapy (okay, well, maybe a little). The funny thing is--back East and on the West Coast, too, *everyone* admits they're in therapy and freely talks about it....whereas out here in the West, well,it's like hidden and not discussed. I think that is so stupid. It's like, we're all f***ed up to some extent, right? So, doesn't that mean the people that are doing something about it probably are a bit more in tune with their truth than those in denial and who refuse to go to therapy because "they don't need outside help." B.S. *everyone* needs a little help---that said, if you want to admit you need it, I can recommend some great therapists :-)

Blessings.

Spring is on the horizon...

I am so excited for the change in Denver's weather---yesterday I could walk outside without a jacket until almost 8 PM! Yay for Spring! A whole new wardrobe emerges for me this time of year and I'm happy to be wearing things that were in hibernation since the first snowfall....and I must say, I look fabulous.
