Another friend "bitten" by the Twilight series....tee hee..

So, after a few months of coaxing my fellow co-worker who is a few years my senior (she's early thirties) she has finally started reading "Twilight" and (no shock here) could not put it down....she opened it last night and didn't put it down until 2 A.M. (albeit unwillingly). I'm telling you, these books are awesome! If you haven't read them you should definitely pick up the first in the series. Steamy but not crude, witty, fun, romantic....thrilling! Let me reiterate that I canNOT wait until the last book comes out on August 2nd. You better believe my copy is pre-ordered on Amazon, baby!

There are so many websites out there about this series and even one specific to "Married women and or women over 25 that are in love with these books!" Called "Twilight Moms". At least I'm not the only one this obsessed ;-) Here is a link to that website for those that are curious.... TWILIGHT MOMS and another one for those who are newly in love with the start of the upcoming "Twilight" movie in December--- Robert is Edward Enjoy!

Newest Niece Updates-

So, my brother Patrick has not updated his blog with pics of his newest bundle of joy (Gracyn) since she was born in April.

Anyway, I sent him an e-mail about this and he sent me a picture...."Just for you" (See picture on the lower right...I'm sure you can guess which one it is.)

Hilarious--I know, Patrick is such a comedian.

Anyway, above are some "nice" pictures of the new young Fowler we like to call Gracie. One has a picture of Zoiee (Patrick's other daughter) holding her little baby sister. Ahhh.....

Enjoy!

My hot dog stand affair...

Downtown Denver is a funny and interesting place--you have the regular business folk roaming about, several homeless people panhandling on the busy corners and of course....hot dog stands....on every corner it seems. Well, there is a particular hot dog stand just a few blocks from my office that I seem to walk by quite a bit. It's owned by an Eastern European gentleman with a heavy accent---he has dark hair and a bushy salt & pepper mustache.

First off let's put out there that I don't particularly like attention from strange European gentleman, especially if they seem somewhat creepy and are old enough to be my dad...but this guy seems to have taken a "liking" to me and always says something to me as I go by. I try to look the other way and seem preoccupied, but it doesn't work. So, *sigh* I just smile back and say hello.

He usually compliments me, "How beautiful you look today" in his Russian sounding accent (although I think he might be Ukrainian?) or is just plain friendly. I don't know what my deal is, but a part of me hates that he insists on talking to me each time I walk past, but the other part of me is quite flattered by his notice. It seems funny to me, but in a way it reminds me of how I am a part of this community in the beautiful "Mile High City". I haven't been a part of a community in a long time it seems. And, it's nice.

Beautiful Denver Sky

Amazing clouds this weekend. Here are a few pictures some friends at work took of the sky on Sunday night. Enjoy!

Qdoba---It will never be the same between you and me :-(

So, it's after midnight and I'm blogging away....unfortunately could not sleep very well after beginning to recover from a brief, but oh-so intense little food poisoning incident this evening. Urgh. This the the third(!) time in a year I've had some incident of food poisoning thanks to the lovely food preparers of various Denver restaurants.
Tonight, it was the friendly people of Qdoba Mexican Grill and their lovely steak tacos---all beit not cooked well-enough or something. Although I thought it was safe to have steak a bit under-done. Oh well. Whatever it was, it made me quite ill and ruined a lovely evening. Blah.

Twilight Movie

Okay, as juvenile as this seems, I am *so* excited for the "Twilight" movie to come out. It's based on the best-selling novel by Stephenie Meyer. Anyway, it's going to be awesome. To check out a preview of the movie click on the link--

Rain and more rain

Nothing very interesting to report. It's finals week at school and nothing special going on at the office---but the weather is acting very bipolar--Beautiful and 80 degrees yesterday and today it snowed. Of course it didn't stick and turned to rain, but still, very annoying. Days like this make me really consider relocating to some place tropical.
